Lockdowns worldwide are in effect with varying enforcement
When we complain here about lockdowns, we think we have a point. However, lockdowns worldwide are more stringent. Others have to deal with permission slips, tracker bracelets, and official quarantines.
Imagine living in Italy or France or Hong Kong, where police have been deployed and fines are massive for violations. Some countries even have jail time as part of their lockdown enforcement as well as more than $3,000 fines. Even New York City has resorted to fines to enforce the lockdown.
I have been in touch almost every other day with friends under lockdowns worldwide. I have spoken with people in Amsterdam, the UK, Italy, France, and Spain. They have all faced lockdowns that we here in the US cannot imagine. Well, perhaps as seen in a low-level dystopian movie.
Stay home. Stay safe.
