- Travelers United maintains that these restaurants implemented restaurant resort fees – a total junk fee intended to deceive consumers.
- After our lawsuits, Clyde’s (Old Ebbitt, The Hamilton, Clyde’s, The Tombs, 1789) and Knead Hospitality + Design (Succotash, Mi Vida, The Grill, Gatsby, Mi Casa) no longer have fees at their restaurants
- Travelers United specifically sued large restaurant groups frequented by tourists who had likely never seen such a deceptive fee on a menu. These restaurant fees are a new way to deceive consumers.
- Travelers United recently filed suit against the owners of Proper 21 K Street and Proper 21 F Street for their fee. The fee has had many names over a short period of time from an administrative fee to a I-82 fee. Travelers United maintains that these junk fees, particularly an administrative fee or I-82 fee hidden in fine print and not even printed on every menu, are a very clear violation of DC’s Consumer Protection Procedures Act (CPPA).
