Malaysian jet may have turned before disappearing
Military officers said that the missing Malaysian Airlines jet may have turned back before disappearing.
There were no reports of bad weather and no sign of why the Boeing 777-200ER disappeared about an hour after it took off from Kuala Lumpur early on Saturday.
“What we have done is actually look into the recording on the radar that we have and we realised there is a possibility the aircraft did make a turn back,” Rodzali Daud, the Royal Malaysian Air Force chief, told reporters at a news conference.
Millions flocked to national parks last year, despite shutdown
While the number of visitors to national parks fell because of the shutdown and bad weather, millions still flocked to national parks and recreation areas.
The Golden Gate National Recreation Area was the most popular place in the national parks system, with more than 14 million visitors last year, pushing Blue Ridge Parkway and its nearly 13 million visitors into the No. 2 spot. Great Smoky Mountains National Park came in third place.

The Silverton is reminiscent of a rustic mountain lodge, with a unique decor and theme among Las Vegas resorts. The existing property decor features earth tones, log beams, stone, and a 117,000 gallon saltwater aquarium with sharks, stingrays, and tropical fish.
