Arthur Frommer tells us that Liftopia.com has negotiated with several different ski resorts across the country to give you the best deals on ski tickets and lodging.
The site is pretty straightforward. Enter the region or the resort, the start date, and the number of days, then click “search.” If there’s an area that doesn’t list bargains and you have flexible dates, just click on the flexible dates link and the site will search the available dates for you.
For example, let’s say that you want to go to Crested Butte in Colorado. You pick your vacation to start November 25th for five days. After you hit search, you’ll see that it’s sold out or not available. Just click on the flexible dates link and, within a few seconds, you’ll see that if you were to go one day later, you’d be able to get discount lift tickets for the five days. In this instance you can save between 17 and 19 percent.
You can also use the site to search for lodging. Enter the region, destination, check in date, check out date, number of rooms, number of adults, number of children, then hit search. You’ll be taken to a list of available hotels and the total package price. You can also see the amenities offered as well as details of the hotel.
The home page will also list the top deals on discount lift tickets along with the available dates and a link to the page with conditions for your destination.
