Wondering what to do in Las Vegas if you’re not much of a gambler? With Vegas.com’s new Mobile Concierge and Box Office in your pocket service, the answer can be as close as your handheld device.
Designed for those already in Las Vegas, customers who text 777 to shortcode VEGAS (83427) or visit mobile.vegas.com on handheld devices can get current day and next day show and tour listings as well as extensive up-to-date hotel information.
Available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, the show listings will include times, ticket prices, reviews, and soon, video clips on specific shows. Once a customer clicks on a specific show or tour and is ready to buy, he or she is connected instantly to a Vegas.com agent who will quickly complete the transaction by taking the customer’s name and credit card number.
Confirmation is e-mailed to the customer’s mobile phone or an e-mail address of their choice. The customer can then either pick up the tickets at the box office or use Vegas.com’s Box Office in Your Pocket Application. If he or she chooses this option, tickets are sent directly to the customer’s mobile phone or PDA.
At the Vegas.com-operated Box Office, the customer will then use a 2-D bar code to enter the theater. The Box Office in Your Pocket application is currently available at the Wynn Las Vegas, but will soon be available at other locations.
